5 Homes With Amazing Art Collections

From hanging motorbikes to graffiti-style walls, these gallery-like homes are sure to inspire

In the age of Pinterest, there’s so many ways to get inspired for designing your home. Of course, the truly unique touches in a home come from the artwork you choose to display. No matter what type of canvas you’re working with, these spaces prove how far adding a little artistic flair to your space will really go.

Villa Canggu North, Bali

ARTHOUSES-bali_villacanggunorth_08Design aficionados often make the trek to Bali to outfit their home with traditional carved wood pieces, so it’s no surprise that the villas here have a particularly special quality. Villa Canggu has a gallery-like essence; as you weave through each room you’ll come across murals and sculptures, made playful when accompanied by ping pong tables and bright furniture. The star of the show is a handcrafted model of a ship suspended from the ceiling in the great room, a true statement piece and conversation starter. True to Bali style, the home also has a meditation loft. Yes please!

Collector’s Villa, Phuket

homeswithart-phuket_collectorsvilla_07For a show-stopping aesthetic, it’s hard to beat Collector’s Villa in Phuket. Here, each room was conceptualized by different interior designers, while still retaining a consistent style that’s dreamy and whimsical, with a hint of futuristic.  The star of this living space is the ash wood carved sofa by designer Joseph Walsh, a contemporary piece with soft curves echoed by the light fixture reminiscent of stars in the sky. Other features you’ll see throughout this home are ceramic plate walls in the master bedroom and a bathroom covered in mother of pearl, not to mention Mother Nature’s key contribution: golden Adaman Sunsets from the sands of Natai Beach right in the backyard.

Skyfall, Palm Springs

homes-with-artwork-california_skyfall_08Palm Springs’ retro vibes are alive and well at Skyfall, and, like its name implies, the ultra-cool style feels as though it could be the home base of James Bond himself. Positioned on the foothills of the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains, the 1960’s architectural marvel has a playful interior that’s ruled by bold, bright colors. Murals are painted in almost every room, appearing like refined street art. The colors on this wall painting are enhanced by a cool geometric rug, and an abundance of natural light that pours through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Are you thinking this would be perfect digs for Coachella 2017? Us too!

Tribeca West Gallery, New York

arthomes-newyork_weststreetgallery_05Accents of bright red shine in the company of monochromatic and mirrored furniture at Tribeca West Gallery. Aptly named, you’ll feel as though you’re living within a super chic Big Apple gallery in this space; bold artwork hangs on the stark white walls, while large pillars bring a refined yet casual essence to the space. When you’re not catching up on emails from this chrome urban throne, take the opportunity to relish in the apartments other cool features, like perfectly placed Jeff Koons sculptures, beaded chandeliers that hang to the oak floors, and most importantly, a reclining massage chair set in a room with red velvet curtains. Only in New York!

Villa Elegancia, Bali

arthomes-bali_villaelegancia_21Designed by the artist Renato Guillermo de Pola, it’s no surprise the attention to detail at Villa Elegancia is on point. Step inside and you can feel the thoughtful love and care that was put into this space, with each room taking on a character of its own. Guillermo de Pola found inspiration from all of his world’s travels, and the living room’s hanging Vespa sculpture (which he made) is just one of many features that nods to his life as a globetrotter. Handmade bamboo chairs, a carved teak wood bathtub in the garden, and beautiful photography combine to make a space that’s reason enough to go to Bali.
